Senior Accounts Officer

Hays is partnering exclusively with a well-established, privately owned WA business to recruit an experienced Accounts Officer for a permanent, full-time, office-based role in Perth's southern suburbs. This opportunity will suit a capable, hands-on accounts professional who is looking for real ownership, stability, and a genuinely collaborative team. Our client is a successful Australian group with multiple entities, national operations and a diverse business model.
Your new role
This is a broad, end-to-end accounting role offering exposure well beyond standard AP/AR duties. You will play a key part in supporting the finance function and managing a large, complex debtor environment.Key responsibilities include:
Accounts receivable and payable
Managing a high-value, complex debtor book and collections
Bank reconciliations and receipting
Intercompany transactions and multi-entity accounting
Balance sheet reconciliations
Stock and inventory accounting
Job costing
Foreign currency transactions
Customer credit applications and onboarding
Assisting with payroll processes
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will bring:Proven experience in AR/AP and end-to-end accounts
Confidence managing debt collection and stakeholder conversations
High attention to detail, particularly with reconciliations and inventory
A deadline-driven, accountable work style
A positive attitude and genuine interest in learning
Strong team-fit and communication skills
