Working across multiple operational assets, you’ll help drive best-practice community engagement, manage stakeholder issues, and protect and enhance organisational reputation.
You’ll work across a complex and high-profile environment, partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver effective community engagement strategies and outcomes.
You’ll join an innovative team, who are focused on ensuring community concerns are proactively managed while supporting the organisation’s long-term reputation and social licence to operate.
As our Senior Public Affairs Advisor you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work.
Day-to-day, you will:
Lead community and stakeholder engagement activities across QLD assets
Respond to and coordinate resolution of community enquiries, complaints, and issues
Proactively identify community risks and develop strategies to mitigate reputational impact
Develop and deliver engagement and communication programs for local communities and stakeholders
Create compelling content and communications materials
Support and deliver community and stakeholder events

Collaborate with internal teams (Project Delivery, Maintenance, Operations, Corporate Affairs, Customer teams) and external stakeholders including councils, contractors, and community
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
Experience in public affairs, communications, or community engagement roles
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
Proven ability to manage sensitive issues and community concerns
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
A proactive mindset with sound judgement and high attention to detail.
If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.
