About the Role
This role supports the delivery of sustainability initiatives with a focus on human rights, modern slavery and reconciliation. You will work across multiple teams, building strong relationships to embed responsible practices into business activity. Reporting to the Manager, Sustainability and Governance, you will influence decision-making and support enterprise-wide programs that strengthen long-term outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the modern slavery program, managing reporting requirements and delivering the annual Modern Slavery Statement to meet legislative standards
- Coordinate the human rights program, identifying key risks and supporting teams to address impacts across business operations
- Monitor and guide implementation of related policies, standards and plans
- Lead cross-functional working groups to ensure sustainability initiatives are embedded into everyday business activity
- Partner with Risk, Procurement, People and other teams to assess and manage sustainability risks and opportunities across the value chain
- Develop and deliver sustainability communications, including contributions to annual reporting and external disclosures
- Engage with industry bodies, communities of practice and internal governance forums to align outcomes and strengthen capability
- Monitor relevant legislation, industry and peer developments, and advise on implications for the business
- Support complementary programs driven by other business areas e.g. customers experiencing vulnerability, diversity and inclusion, and community investment
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in sustainability or social responsibility programs, with knowledge of human rights or modern slavery frameworks
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across senior leaders and diverse teams
- Proven ability to manage complex programs and multiple priorities while maintaining clear focus and delivery
- Understanding of risk, governance and regulatory environments, ideally within financial services or consulting
- Ability to influence outcomes through clear communication, structured thinking and practical advice
- A collaborative approach, with experience building relationships across functions
