About the Role

As our Senior AI Solution Evangelist, you will be the technical driving force behind the Datacom AI Sandpit—a strategic collaboration between Dell, Red Hat, and Datacom. Your mission is to ignite interest, build a strong sales pipeline, and empower our clients to develop their in-house AI capabilities using this powerful platform.

You will engage with a diverse customer base, from mid-sized businesses to large enterprises (150 to 60,000+ seats) across critical sectors like Health, Transport, Finance, and Government. This is your opportunity to become a trusted advisor, guiding organisations on their AI journey from concept to reality.

Our offices are based in Sydney and Melbourne. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best! 

What You'll Do

This role blends hands-on technical expertise with strategic customer engagement. While your infrastructure background is crucial, your passion for AI is what will make you successful. You will:

• Lead the Technical Pre-Sales Cycle: Drive the technical discovery, solution design, and delivery of compelling demonstrations for the Datacom AI Sandpit.
• Architect & Deploy Solutions: Build and implement proof-of-concept (POC) solutions within the AI Sandpit, showcasing tangible business value for our clients.
• Educate & Enable: Design and deliver engaging workshops and training sessions to upskill clients, empowering them to leverage the full potential of the AI platform.
• Create High-Quality Documentation: Author clear and comprehensive technical documents, including High-Level Designs (HLDs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and formal proposals.
• Drive Pipeline Growth: Collaborate closely with the sales team to identify, qualify, and win new opportunities.
• Be a Voice for the AI Sandpit at Datacom: Act as a thought leader and evangelist, presenting at industry events, webinars, and customer forums to build excitement around Datacom's AI capabilities.

What You'll Bring

We are seeking a technical expert with a gift for communication and a drive to help customers succeed. You should have:

• Strong Technical Foundations: A solid background in IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking) combined with hands-on experience in a software-defined environment, particularly with Linux and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift).
• Passion for AI: A solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and the AI lifecycle. You don't need to be a data scientist, but you must have a genuine passion and a strong desire to deepen your expertise.
• Customer-Facing Experience: Proven success in a role such as a Pre-sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Consultant.
• Exceptional Communication Skills: The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Technical Training Expertise: Proven experience in designing, creating, and delivering technical training material. A significant part of this role will be updating course content and developing associated hands-on lab work.
• Documentation Excellence: A demonstrable history of creating high-quality, professional technical and commercial documentation (SOWs, HLDs, proposals).
• Advantageous Certifications: Industry-recognised certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF) or container platforms (e.g., Red Hat OpenShift, Nutanix, nVidia NCA-AIIO and/or NCA-AII) will be looked upon favorably.
