Senior Application Engineer - Protection & Control

CSE Uniserve provides high quality local engineering design services, support and effective delivery of technically advanced products and systems to mining & heavy industry, electrical and water utility, renewable energy, transport, and oil & gas sectors specialising in the delivery of a range of solutions from electrical system protection and control to asset management, power distribution and automation.

About the Role

The Senior Application Engineer role primarily focusses on specialised protection and control application support.

A key focus of this role is to provide detailed design which includes material selection, panel drawings, relay configuration files, protection setting report, Factory Acceptance Test, site investigation and commissioning support. The role will work with our key suppliers to solve customer hardware and software enquiries.

Working with the sales team, communicate product benefits and differentiators to customers. The role will assist the sales team in preparing quotations and tender responses.

The role will conduct technology workshops for both external and internal customers.

We will rely on you to provide excellent levels of customer service that exceed our client's expectations. You will cultivate positive working and customer relationships and contribute to ongoing strategy development around current and emerging technologies in the Protection and Control space. This role will require an individual who is proactive, highly customer focused, and have an interest and willingness to expand our customer’s knowledge of our products, services and solutions.

You will have worked in and delivered key outcomes in a similar role in a high-paced work environment. Qualifications and Experience

• Hold a recognised Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree
• Preferably 3 years + of work experience with power system consulting, vendor, or utilities
• Detailed protection and control design experience
• Genuine interest in managing and design of protection and control systems
• Clear understanding of the power system requirements and challenges
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
