  • Employment type: Future ongoing and temporary opportunities may be filled via Talent Pool creation

  • Salary: $155,770 pa plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role


As a Senior Assistant Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance with policies and procedures to ensure safe operations within Security, Custody & Community.


You will also be able to case manage and plan in conjunction with other team members whilst adhering to security and safety measures.


 


What you’ll do


You will be contributing to the achievement of key performance indicators and reporting to senior management on all operational matters.


 


The successful candidate will be able to provide professional and administrative work on daily basis. You will need to evaluate and verify training plans, management of inmate misconduct and provide a safe and harmonious work environment.


 


In this role you will utilise your proven managerial experience and knowledge to meet the demands of this role efficiently and effectively. You understand the diverse correctional environment and working with people in custody. As an influential leader who will always be looking to challenge the status quo you will be joining a high performing team that is focused on developing an improved workplace culture.


 


Essential requirements



  • Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or appropriate and relevant custodial experience at a senior level

  • Driver’s Licence with ability and willingness to drive throughout NSW.

  • Comply with National Heavy Vehicle Law and Regulations and Chain of Responsibility Policy and Procedures.  (CESU roles only)
