Senior Associate, Insurance Litigation

A prominent international law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Insurance Litigation team in Melbourne.

This is a strong opportunity to work on complex financial lines and professional indemnity matters within a high-performing practice, with exposure to high-profile disputes, class actions and regulatory matters.

The Opportunity

You’ll work closely with an experienced Partner and team on a broad mix of sophisticated matters, acting for insurers, corporates and professionals across a range of industries.

Your work will include:

• Professional indemnity and D&O matters
  


• Construction-related disputes (primarily litigated)
  


• Class action defence work
  


• Coverage advice for insurers
  


• Regulatory investigations and disputes
  


• Drafting pleadings, advices and submissions
  


• Liaising with clients, counsel, experts and insurers
  


• Appearances in courts and tribunals (as appropriate)
  

About You

• 4+ years’ post-admission experience (flexible)
  


• Background in commercial litigation, insurance or professional indemnity
  


• Strong litigation and file management skills
  


• Excellent drafting, communication and research ability
  


• Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
  


• Collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail
  


• Commercially focused with a client-centric approach
  


• Motivated to build expertise in insurance litigation
