About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced senior lawyer to join their thriving Insurance Division in Brisbane. This full-time position offers the opportunity to handle high-value matters for premium insurer clients. Working within a recognized team, renowned for delivering top-notch advice and service, you'll engage with diverse sectors, including:
- Public liability (Personal Injury & Property)
- Product liability
- Indemnity
- CTP
- Catastrophic claims
Your primary responsibility will involve providing comprehensive personal injury and general insurance services to their broad client network. They are looking for someone with demonstrated industry knowledge and the ability to see matters through to completion. As a senior team member, you'll also play a key role in mentoring junior lawyers.
About You To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor of Laws or equivalent degree and a valid Queensland practising certificate
- At least 6 years of post-admission experience in general insurance, particularly in handling liability claims
- Proficiency in personal injury proceedings in Queensland
- Demonstrated passion for and experience in mentoring junior lawyers
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with experts from various fields
- Exceptional initiative, dedication, and organizational abilities, coupled with a client-centric and commercially astute mindset
- A strategic and articulate approach, with a keen ability to advocate for and articulate client needs"
