Our client, is a Brisbane-based team of Chartered Accountants and Xero specialists with a strong reputation for delivering clarity, confidence and compliance for small business clients across Australia.

We're partnering with a Top100 accounting firm to recruit an experienced Senior Bookkeeper who thrives in a client-facing role, loves problem-solving, and wants to grow their bookkeeping career alongside a collaborative team.

About the Role

As Senior Bookkeeper you'll play a key part in delivering high-quality bookkeeping services to a diverse portfolio of small business clients. Reporting to the Practice Manager / Head of Bookkeeping, you will be responsible for end-to-end bookkeeping tasks, coaching and mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance and best practice standards across the team.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Full-cycle bookkeeping across Xero (reconciliations, bank, AR/AP, payroll, BAS)
• Preparing monthly & quarterly reports, including management packs
• Reviewing and improving bookkeeping workflows and processes
• Client communication and issue resolution
• Supporting software integrations and automation initiatives
• Mentoring and reviewing work of junior bookkeepers

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, has strong technical depth, and can confidently manage multiple clients with minimal supervision.

About You

To be successful you'll have:

• 5+ years bookkeeping experience - ideally in public practice or a busy firm
• Advanced proficiency with Xero (and connected apps)
• Excellent reconciling skills and attention to detail
• Experience preparing BAS/IAS and lodgments
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, practical mindset
• A drive to mentor, improve systems and deliver exceptional client service

Cert IV in Bookkeeping or equivalent qualifications are highly regarded.
