A large public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a significant Licensing & Compliance Solution project. This role is suited to Business Analysts with experience working on complex ICT programs.

Your new role
As the Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping business requirements, ensuring high-quality analysis artefacts, and supporting an integrated vendor delivery model. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, SMEs, technical teams, and external partners to translate business needs into actionable solution outcomes.
You will be responsible for ensuring documentation quality, alignment between requirements and deliverables, and supporting project delivery through structured business analysis practices.
Business Analysis & Requirements

Gather, document, and manage detailed business requirements.

Develop clear User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and process documentation.

Produce high-quality process models, activity diagrams, and standards-compliant artefacts.

Maintain requirements traceability and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Resolve ambiguities and address issues arising from unclear or evolving processes.

Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement

Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, technical leads, and vendors to ensure accurate interpretation of requirements.

Support vendor engagement by validating deliverables and ensuring requirements translate into workable solutions.

Project Delivery Support

Contribute to Agile events including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

Capture decisions and actions, ensuring updates are accurately reflected in project artefacts.

Provide insights to drive effective ICT solution implementation.

Data & Quality Assurance

Support data migration validation through sample reconciliation, anomaly identification, and reporting.

Assist with data quality assessments, including issue identification, recommendations, and progress tracking.

Change Management & Training

Clarify business processes and support documentation required for change activities.

Contribute to the development of communication or training materials related to new or changed processes.

What you'll need to succeed

Minimum five years' experience as a Business Analyst in complex ICT projects.

Strong ability to translate business processes into practical solution requirements.

Demonstrated experience working within structured project environments (Agile highly regarded).

High-level analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured documentation.

Proven capability in engaging with diverse stakeholders and vendors to drive clarity and alignment.

Experience supporting data migration or data quality initiatives (desirable).

Exposure to change management or training-related activities (advantageous).
