Senior Business Analyst

Location: ACT 
Duration: contract until June 30 2025 with 2x 12 months extension 
Citizenship requirements:  Must be an Australian Citizen with Baseline clearance

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to be responsible in collaborating with stakeholders to identify and document business and system requirements, and supporting technical teams with systems analysis. You will also involve in developing innovative solutions, facilitating workshops, managing multiple tasks, and ensuring effective stakeholder relationships while prioritizing and validating product backlogs and requirements.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Contribute to delivering complex projects in the identity and biometrics domain.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and clearly communicate business needs.
• Work with stakeholders to define, prioritize, and present business requirements to an agreed standard.
• Define system requirements in partnership with stakeholders for technical development teams.
• Provide systems analysis support to technical teams.
• Create graphical representations of current (as-is) and future (to-be) business processes.
• Develop innovative solutions to business challenges with input from business and ICT stakeholders.
• Document new business practices and processes clearly and facilitate stakeholder agreement.
• Organize and lead workshops to gather business and system requirements and define new processes.
• Manage multiple tasks with competing priorities while maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.

Essential Criteria: 

• Five plus years’ demonstrated experience as a senior business analyst;
• Demonstrated high order communication skills (both oral and written);
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills;
• Ability to distil requirements from complex scenarios and processes, including develop new processes where required;
• Demonstrated analytical background;
• Experience in Agile methodology.
