Now that you know why you should work for us, you should also know what you will be doing when you start with us:

• Liaising with clients, subconsultants, utility authorities, Council officers and governing bodies to establish project requirements and demonstrate compliance
• Preparation of fee proposals including detailed job cost breakdowns
• Undertaking site inspections as required to familiarise yourself with project constraints
• Preparing detailed 3D design models and drawings using computer aided design and drafting programs
• Internal project management to ensure client objectives are met and project financial outcomes are achieved
• Preparation of BOQ / cost estimates, specifications, and project correspondence
• Effective communication with project team and management
• Providing mentorship and guidance to other less experience design team members

We know that with your 10+ years of experience (and an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant equivalent industry experience) that has earned you the right to be called a Senior Civil Designer, you will easily be able to demonstrate experience, knowledge, and skills in most, if not all, of the following:

• Subdivision design
• Urban and rural road design
• Earthworks
• Civil infrastructure (sewerage, water and stormwater)
• Proficiency in computer aided design and drafting programs (e.g. AutoCAD, 12D, Civil 3D, AutoTurn and PC Drain)
• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
• Australian Standards and guidelines
• Main Roads design standards
• Relevant construction practices
