Reporting to the Head of Claims you will be responsible for building the Financial Lines claims team and offering, and developing and selling the value proposition to all Gallagher sales divisions.

You will personally handle some of the most complex and challenging claims that our clients have in these business lines.

You will also be part of the senior claims leadership team ensuring we provide market leading claims advocacy support for our clients.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are seeking an insurance professional with considerable experience in the management of Professional and Financial Lines claims and staff

You will be experienced in:

  • Planning, organising, controlling and directing of a group of Financial Lines Claims professionals
  • Leading a culture of claims advocacy
  • Overseeing and be involved where necessary of all large and potentially complicated claim related matters (financial lines focus) and assist claims personnel in ensuring the client gets the appropriate policy benefits
  • Working collaboratively with other Senior Claims Managers and Brokers
  • Large and complex losses, Claims with multiple co-insurers, Navigating the London and overseas insurance markets
  • Strong stakeholder management and the ability to communicate and negotiate difficult disputes
  • Developing effective working relationships and good influencing skills to work across the business
  • A deep understanding of insurance products and markets with Financial and Professional risks your primary focus (you’ll be regarded as a market expert)
  • Passing on your knowledge to other Claims staff taking pride in seeing them professionally grow
  • The skills to work in a fast paced and dynamic business that does not sit still. Ambiguity isn’t a problem for you
