Accountabilities
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise medication and treatment management.
- Assess high-risk medication use and provide clinical opinions on treatment strategies.
- Liaise with treatment providers to negotiate medication types, dosages, and utilisation.
- Educate injured workers, employers, and stakeholders on medication use and risks.
- Identify the need for and refer to external services like Pharmacy Reviews or Independent Medical Examinations.
- Provide training and support to operational team members on medication management best practices.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is essential.
- 5 years clinical experience required.
- Current registration in professional field.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical practice.
- Well established knowledge of disability and injury management best practices.
- An understanding and experience in the personal injury industry, ideally with knowledge of workers compensation legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
