About the Role

The Senior Cloud Platform Specialist is primarily responsible for the management of the Datacom Cloud with a relentless focus on continuous improvement of cloud operations and associated delivery leveraging agile methodologies. The role will deliver a professional technical engineer with responsibilities across a broad range of technologies. They maintain knowledge of the technologies deployed as well as up to date professional certifications to ensure the delivery of an exceptional service.

Please note that to be successful in this role you will need to be an Australian Citizen, and be eligible for Baseline/ NV1 Security Clearance.

What you’ll do:

As the Senior Cloud Platform Specialist you will be focused on:

• Delivering an Automation first culture
• Supporting Cloud platform customers and Datacom Cloud services focusing on automation and continuous improvement within the agreed Datacom frameworks.
• Enhancing the Datacom managed public cloud services solutions by applying an ‘automate where possible" approach.
• Uplifting Cloud automation and delivery maturity across Datacom leveraging agile/DevOps methodologies.
• Contributing to automation roadmaps in conjunction with the Architecture, Tools, Automation and Planning group guidelines and standards and execute within identified milestones.
• Executing automation roadmaps across the ANZ landscape with a view to driving repeatability and reliability into all operational aspects of cloud delivery.
• Investigating, analysing and developing solutions for automating repeatable support and provisioning tasks.
• Ensuring that automated Cloud services and management are in-line with agreed strategy and policy.
• Providing expert advice and guidance to other technology teams and business stakeholders to deliver on both short- and long-term goals of Datacom.
• Providing guidance and advice to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies in order to meet schedules and resolve technical problems

What you’ll bring

Required experience

• Key Vendor Product Knowledge: AWS, VM Ware, Red Hat, Microsoft
• Experience with Outsourced IT Service and Infra projects
• Experience with cloud platform technologies
• Minimum 5+ yrs exp with AWS DevOps and CI/CD and Containerisation
• Orchestration expertise with provisioning Private & Public Cloud specifically with AWS and Azure automation
• Ability to manage teams a bonus
• ITIL certification preferred
