About This Opportunity

Join us as the Senior Collections Officer and embrace the exciting challenge of overseeing a diverse portfolio within our Collections Department. This pivotal role thrives on transforming challenges into opportunities, focusing not only on the swift and effective recovery of arrears but also on nurturing strong, positive relationships with our valued customers.

In this role, you’ll be instrumental in our operations, actively engaging with customers, coordinating with third parties, and collaborating with collections partners. Your goal will be to deliver the best possible outcomes for both SilverChef and our customers, ensuring a significant impact on our company’s success and customer satisfaction.

In this role you will…

Engage with customers in arrears to swiftly resolve outstanding balances and strengthen relationships.Apply consistent business acumen and confident communication skills to promptly address overdue accounts.Ensure that SilverChef debt processes are adhered to and take timely and effective action on accounts assigned.Keep management informed and up to date, flagging any potential risks likely to have a significant financial impact on the arrears portfolio/business.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

Proven experience (5+ years) in a collections role, preferably within a financial service.Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.High level of attention to detail and analytical thinking.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to collections and arrears recovery.Knowledge of the National Debt Collection guidelines and legislation would be well regarded.
