Toyota Finance Australia (TFA) is seeking a Senior Commercial Credit Risk Analyst to join its Commercial Credit Risk team on a permanent, full-time basis.
In this role, you will play a key part in safeguarding TFA’s asset quality and profitability as a specialist second-line Risk professional. You will drive sound credit decision-making through robust financial analysis, risk assessment, and adherence to responsible lending standards, while enabling sustainable growth across dealer and fleet customer segments.
The position also provides expert advice to key stakeholders on a broad range of commercial credit transactions and promotes consistency in credit risk standards across the portfolio.
This role is based at Scoresby with flexible working arrangements on offer.
How you’ll make an impact
Assess and review dealer and fleet credit applications, delivering expert insights and well-reasoned recommendations grounded in strong credit principles and commercial judgement.
Exercise dual risk approval within Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) and prepare clear, concise credit submissions for escalation to higher DLA levels, including executive management.
Maintain compliance with credit policies and TFA’s risk appetite by monitoring exposures, identifying emerging risks, and escalating concerns as appropriate.
Support and enhance the Commercial Credit quality assurance framework by reviewing and improving processes, while analysing and reporting on portfolio performance and credit quality, and providing actionable insights to strengthen policy settings and operational effectiveness.
Contribute to system enhancements and change initiatives impacting commercial credit risk, ensuring risks are effectively identified, assessed, and mitigated.
Your attributes
Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or a related discipline
Extensive experience in commercial lending and/or asset finance
Strong understanding of commercial credit risk principles
Sound judgement with the ability to balance risk considerations and commercial outcomes
Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
