We’re looking for a Senior Contract Administrator to join our Major Projects Team.

As a Senior Contract Administrator, you will be responsible for administering a range of construction and services contracts to support the project execution of a major project or projects. The role will be primarily office-based with ad-hoc (infrequent) site visits required to support the contract administration duties.

You’ll bring broad experience, particularly in complex contracting activities across the infrastructure and construction sectors. We’re looking for someone who leads with integrity, brings strong experience in contract formulation and administration, and shares our commitment to sound business ethics and major corporate and contracting values.

In this role, your work will play an important part in helping major projects run successfully, so we’re looking for someone who takes pride in delivering timely, high-quality outcomes.

What you’ll do

• Administer primarily services contracts in accordance with project execution plans and Client requirements.
• Support the Supply Chain and Commercial Manager in managing contractor performance, claims, and risk.
• Coordinate with the project teams, including construction, interface management, engineering, planning, HSE, and quality, procurement, transport and logistics and the client to ensure contract deliverables meet safety, quality, costs and time requirements.
• Maintain accurate contract records and contract data systems.
• Administer nominated packages including notices, variations, site instructions, and extensions of time.
• Oversee the processing of all contract progress claims through to payment certificate and client endorsement.
• Support the Project Services teams to validate cost and schedule forecasting and reporting for end-of-month reporting and client contract reports.
• Support the Project Services team with all claim reviews, including where applicable milestone and / or value earned assessments.
• Lead contractor progress meetings representing client interests.
• Act as first point of contact for any contract disputes and liaise with legal and client representatives on contractual matters/disputes and negotiations.
• Timely closeout of contracts.

What you’ll have

• Tertiary qualification in supply chain, law, business administration, quantity surveying/construction management or related field, or equivalent relevant experience. RIQS accreditation highly regarded.
• Extensive contracts administration experience in executing major projects ideally in an EPCM organization, preferably in the infrastructure / construction / or resources sector.
• Strong understanding of contract terms, negotiation, and claims management.
• Proficiency in procurement and project systems.
• Proficient in organisational administration.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen.
