About the role

Due to our continued success, Altrad is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team for a large-scale remediation and maintenance project in Geraldton, WA. This full-time position is based in our Subiaco office.

Commencing ASAP, you will report to the Project and Commercial Manager and be responsible for managing and overseeing contract and commercial operations. Your duties will include ensuring contract compliance, drafting contractual correspondence, preparing and defending claims, and implementing robust change control procedures.

Your day-today responsibilities to include but not limited to;

  • Responsible for fulfilling defined roles within the commercial function including cost management, value management, contract administration, leading to the optimisation of margin and cash while protecting the Company from commercial risk on a project or a selection of projects with defined areas of responsibility, including some supervisory tasks.
  • Provide a supportive and mentoring role to members of the Altrad team by sharing knowledge, and training experiences.
  • Keep abreast of governance and regulatory obligations, taking appropriate actions and supporting the implementation of preventive strategies.
  • Draft contractual correspondence as required to ensure risk is managed in line with the Group Contracting Rules and the Delegation of Authority.
  • Manage and participate where necessary in the preparation, submission and agreement of variations and measurement in collaboration with the wider project team and head office support.
  • Under guidance, prepare, submit and agree contractual claims for time and money
  • Together with the Project Manager / Cost Control / Planning, develop the project’ “budget to build” and set out the WBS for cost control and monitoring.

 

About you

  • 5+ years’ experience in contract administration.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in an appropriate commerce, law, construction, engineering, project management or quantity surveying discipline.
  • Demonstrated capability in contract management within the resources/ construction industry.
  • Advanced proficiency with the MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel and ability to build models based on contract structures
  • Strong analytic skills, high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
