The Client:My client is an established QLD-owned tier-2 commercial construction group that specialise in the delivery of construction projects across the commercial mixed-use, multi-res/hotel, industrial, defence and aviation, civic/government, tertiary education, healthcare/hospital, and retirement/aged-care sectors valued up to 200mil.
With metropolitan and regional offices across QLD and NSW, this group leverages strong relationships with a plethora of institutional blue-chip clients including property firms, developers, property funds, governments, healthcare providers and private/public sector clients etc.
The Role:
Working under the leadership of a Project Director and Senior Project Manager, you will have end-to-end involvement on complex construction and development projects. You will be heavily involved during the associated ECI, feasibly, cost planning, design management, procurement, contract management, financial management and overall project delivery.
This is an opportunity to further develop your skill set and gain exposure to the full project cycle on large-scale construction and development projects. You will be given the opportunity to deliver your own minor works projects, as well as assisting with the delivery management of larger works.
Senior Management is happy to provide clear progression pathways through to Project Management or Commercial Management capacities if desired, as well as subsidising candidates willing to relocate.
Ideal Experience: - Minimum 5 years of experience working for a commercial builder, developer or project management consultancy - CA, PC or PE experience is essential.
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture.
- Experience assisting in the associated procurement, contract management, financial management and overall project delivery functions, ideally on large-scale commercial mixed-use, health/age-care, and government sectors.
- Experience in the end-to-end delivery of projects, including involvement through preconstruction, cost planning and design management processes.
- Experience using software programs including Jobpac, Aconex, Cheops and Procore is advantageous.
