Senior Data Engineer - APS6 Your new company You will be joining a large, nationally focused organisation committed to building a modern, scalable data and analytics environment. The organisation is investing heavily in enterprise data capabilities to support strategic insights, operational performance, and risk identification across key business areas. Your new role As a Senior EDW Engineer, you will contribute to a major data-warehouse program, supporting the development, enhancement, and governance of enterprise data assets. You will update technical documentation, guide developers, and review or approve data models and data designs.You will work closely with business stakeholders to design and deliver consumable reports, analytics, and data solutions that address emerging trends and operational risks. The role includes end-to-end ownership of technical implementation-from analysis through to delivery-while helping shape best-practice development standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed Eligibility

Labour-hire licensing requirements may apply depending on the state or territory of engagement.
Essential skills & experience
4+ years' experience in similar data engineering or EDW roles.
Strong programming capability, including experience with Python or similar languages.
Experience with Snowflake, Teradata, or other leading EDW platforms.
Understanding of DevOps processes and ability to work with DevOps tools.
Knowledge of CI/CD, version control, and tools such as GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
Technical capabilities
Expertise in EDW core-layer data integration, including 3NF transformation logic and access-layer design.
Ability to develop and enhance reusable ETL patterns.
Strong understanding of ELTL design.
Skilled in SQL analytical development, ETL coding, optimisation, and performance tuning.
Experience in data modelling, peer review processes, and release standards.
Ability to analyse and size user requirements, prioritise work items, and manage a development queue.
Desirable attributes
Ability to contribute to updates of the Information Model and support stakeholder understanding.
Experience aggregating consumable materials, products, and data for analysis.
Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
