Senior Data Scientist - Start Immediately

Our client a leading name financial services industry.  In recent years they have grown at an impressive rate and have a proven track record of success in both Australia and overseas as they have developed relationships with a number of global brands. Due to continued expansion in their product offering and associated customer acquisition, they are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join this growing team in order to provide increased visibility to the firm through insightful analytics based activity. You will be given an opportunity to work with large data sets on particularly complex and interesting Data Science projects.
  
The Role:

• Work with stakeholders throughout the organisation to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• Take responsibility for designing and delivering technically complex Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives that produce significant business value
• Hold responsibility for the conceptualisation, development and optimisation of predictive learning models
• Challenge the status quo by supporting digital advancements and innovative solutions to new ways of working
• Contribute towards tangible business metric uplifts such as increase in revenue, decrease in costs and increase in customer satisfaction

The Successful candidate:

• You will have a track record of achievement in data science, analysis, applied statistics or machine learning
• You will have worked within a commercial organisation.
• Experience with Python is essential as is SQL and it will be advantageous to have worked with Databricks
• An academic background in statistics, mathematics, computer science, actuarial studies or similar is required
• Knowledge of Generative AIContinue and experience in developing proof-of-concepts or building prototypes using GenAI is desirable
• Demonstrated clear and thorough logical and analytical thinking, as well as problem-solving skills
