Senior Dental Assistant/Senior Receptionist - Leading Industry Pay

2 Part Time or 1 Full Time positions available. Casual with ability to move to permanent for the right candidate. We are looking for a long-term, easy going candidate for our home away from home. We are a small two chair, one dentist clinic situated inside HomeCo Marsden (previously known as Marsden Park Shopping Centre). Dr Senad Durakovic has been here for over 20 years with a very loyal patient stream. This is beautiful clinic with brand new Belmont chairs, digital x-rays and immaculate steri-room.

Qualifications & experience

• Cert III Dental Assisting or above
• Minimum 3 years experience in similar role
• Exact dental program experience highly regarded
• Experience with payor claims (CDBS, DVA, Metro Oral Health Vouchers) highly regarded

Tasks & responsibilities

• Greet patients and prepare them for scheduled dental procedures
• Provide assistance to the dentist
• Surgery set up for required procedures
• Clean and sterilize the instruments prior to and after treatment
• Clean the surgery and treatment room in accordance with the practice’s policies and procedures, including decontamination procedures for infection control
• Provide the practice with administrative assistance, including the maintenance and re-stock of dental and office supplies
• Prepare accounts and collect payments in accordance with the practice’s policies and procedures
• Ability to work Saturday mornings 8:30am to 12:30pm
• Undertake reception and customer service duties, including, but not limited to, answering the telephone and carrying out general office duties
• Pour models for lab work and organise timely pick up and drop off schedules with our lab driver
