Senior DevOps Engineer High-Performance Trading Infrastructure | AWS, Kubernetes & Cloud | APAC

What You'll Do:

Join a globally distributed engineering team responsible for scaling and operating the infrastructure behind millions of daily trades across centralised and decentralised digital asset markets.

You'll work at the intersection of cloud engineering, automation and performance optimisation, ensuring systems remain highly available, secure and lightning-fast in an environment where every millisecond counts.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

1. Design, operate and optimise highly available, low-latency infrastructure supporting global trading operations.
2. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across compute, networking, storage and applications.
3. Manage and scale AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes environments and containerised workloads.
4. Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and configuration management with Ansible.
5. Develop automation and tooling using Python and Bash.
6. Implement and improve monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana and related technologies.
7. Lead incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and preventative improvements.
8. Strengthen cloud security, IAM, threat detection and secure CI/CD pipelines.
9. Collaborate with developers, traders and security teams to continuously improve infrastructure performance and reliability.
10. Participate in a rotational daytime on-call schedule, supporting global operations across APAC and Europe.

About You:

1. 5+ years' experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering within demanding production environments.
2. Strong Linux administration and AWS cloud infrastructure experience.
3. Essential hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerised workloads.
4. Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform and Ansible.
5. Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting and automation.
6. Experience with Prometheus, Grafana and production observability.
7. Strong understanding of cloud networking, system performance, latency optimisation and capacity planning.
8. Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, SIEM and secure CI/CD practices.
9. Experience with Google Cloud or Azure is advantageous.
10. Exposure to cryptocurrency, digital assets or financial trading environments would be a strong bonus.

Ideally, we're looking to welcome candidates based in Sydney, Singapore or Hong Kong. For the right candidate, a remote working arrangement from Sydney may also be considered.
