Senior Engineer (Civil)

Our client URGENTLY requires a Senior Engineer (Civil) for a 12 months + Contract in Nerang.

The Senior Engineer (Civil) will project manage the pre-construction and / or construction phases of multiple road infrastructure projects through the provision of extensive technical expertise, the administration of contracts and support to the design, construction and maintenance processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide high level engineering advice and input into planning and design suitability and options, the use of materials, resources, components or systems within the project, and construction practices and problems.
• Manage, assist, deliver and co-ordinate the delivery of Pre-construction activities to the region on time and to budget, which includes managing preliminary investigations such as survey and geotechnical, all land resumption requirements, all design tender actions and manage preliminary design through to detail design and the tender process.
• Manage the calling and assessment of tenders and the contract awarding process for construction projects in the Region's Roads Implementation Program.
• Manage the operational aspects of project delivery to ensure the effective and efficient use of systems and processes involved with all phases of the project management model.

Government experience would be highly advantageous.
