Senior Estimator - Power Projects

The opportunity

Downers Energy and Utilities business is experiencing continued growth across major power and transmission projects. We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator Power Projects to support the development of accurate competitive and compliant tenders across substations and high voltage infrastructure works.


Working within our Growth team you will collaborate closely with Project Delivery and key stakeholders to ensure tenders are developed in line with the Downer Standard safeguarding profitability while setting projects up for successful delivery.


 

What we are looking for

You will be an experienced estimator with strong technical capability and a collaborative approach bringing:
 

• Experience in the construction industry with exposure to power transmission substations or high voltage infrastructure

• Proven experience preparing tenders across Design and Construct Construct Only and Fixed Lump Sum delivery models

• Experience across civil structural electrical and instrumentation estimating

• Strong capability in take offs subcontractor and vendor pricing RFIs and post submission clarifications

• Working knowledge of estimating databases and Microsoft Office tools

• The ability to mentor and support Estimators and Junior Estimators

• A proactive self driven approach with strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Trade qualifications and or an undergraduate engineering degree desirable

• You will demonstrate alignment to Downers values and a strong commitment to Zero Harm quality compliance and client outcomes.
