Job Description - Senior Event Coordinator/Event Manager - with Growth Opportunities

We are in search of an enthusiastic Senior Event Coordinator/Event Manager to join our exceptional team at Doltone House in Pyrmont, Sydney NSW.

Doltone House is growing and we are currently seeking an experienced  Senior Event Coordinator/Event Manager to join the team.

You will have proven success within a venue environment managing large multi-day events, exhibitions and gala dinners. 

Possessing exceptional customer service standards with an impeccable eye for detail. You will be responsible for managing events from post-sale to event day, planning every detail from run sheets, menu consultation, logistics, site inspections, liaising with relevant departments, identifying upsell opportunities and liaising with suppliers to name a few.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will be the main point of contact for clients and suppliers in the planning stages of each event
  • Organising multi day events, exhibitions, gala dinners and the like.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding bookings & logistics of bump in/bump out
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and returning clients
  • Liaise with internal and external departments to ensure event specifications can be executed according to Doltone House standards and legislative requirements
  • Working with your client to ensure the optimal stress-free outcome

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years total experience in hospitality/events is essential
  • Proven success of managing multi day events and exhibitions.
  • Operational experience is an advantage

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, especially written and verbal
  • Ability to build and maintain rapport
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent presentation
  • Ability to work in a high volume fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent time management and administration skills
  • Knowledge of Ungerboeck is an advantage (but not essential)
