This opportunity

As part of the Planning and Financial Analysis team, the Senior Financial Analyst role is central to the planning and reporting process of the business. You will be given the opportunity to have a holistic view of the business and the chance to work with key members within Finance as well as other business functions. The team is accountable for all reporting to the CEO and Executive team and can include monthly financials such as P&L, balance sheets and cash flows, subscriber numbers, operational KPI’s as well as statutory or regulatory requests.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting ensuring all submissions are prepared on time and are valid, complete and accurate.
• Governance of month end reporting process by proactively working with the Financial Control team to ensure results are booked in accordance with reporting requirements.
• Centre of knowledge for reporting queries and liaison with Finance team members and stakeholders in the wider business.
• Assist with the preparation of half year and year end accounts including ad-hoc audit requests.
• Support Chart of Accounts governance, including mapping maintenance between key finance systems such as Oracle and Jedox.
• Proactive problem solver with the ability to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement, providing advice on system automation and workflow improvement.
• Support the Senior Manager on ad-hoc projects and analysis requests.

Knowledge and experience

• Minimum of three year's experience as a financial analyst, or in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics, or any finance related degree.
• CA/ CPA qualified or working towards qualification.
• Advanced data analytics and IT skills – demonstrated knowledge of Excel as well as proficiency in Oracle, Jedox and Powerpoint.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, detail oriented, self-motivated and organised.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills – verbal and oral.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and conflicting priorities.
• Ability to operate effectively in a matrix / cross functional environment with a strong team focus
