A great opportunity has been created to join this large organisation working on complex engineering and infrastructure projects. Due to internal opportunities this role will join dynamic finance function and take a lead role in driving financial reporting frameworks. Reporting into the Financial Controller you will take a hands on approach to driving financial reporting, duties will include:

• Lead technical accounting advice in across accounting standards and financial reporting. Review application of AASB’s across assets and leases.
• Implement and review policies and processes
• Prepare monthly financial statements including General Ledger, Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss and Cash Flow Statements. 
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve variances.
• Lead fixed asset reporting, audits, disposal and depreciation schedules
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements working with internal, external parties including the board
• Prepare reporting for the budget and forecast processes. 
• Drive internal compliance reporting and support internal audit
• Ensure data integrity is maintained whilst providing recommendations on process improvements.

Ideally you will be CA/CPA qualified or equivalent with proven experience leading a process in preparing financial reporting in a complex structure and inline with AASB standards. An ability to commence immediately and commit to a long term contract, proactive approach and ability to drive improvements will be paramount to the success in this opportunity.
