The opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic full-time, Senior Financial Accountant to join our Sydney based team, reporting to the Financial Controller. This would be a great role for someone looking to make their first move out of audit.

Key Responsibilities include:  

• Managing month end close for the Group, ensuring reconciliations are completed within month end timeframes.


• Coordinating the annual audit process and prepare our consolidated financial statements.


• Supporting with technical accounting and IFRS compliance, including share based payments, lease accounting and revenue recognition.


• Contributing to global tax compliance, including preparation of income tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT, including working with external tax advisors.


• Preparing cross border transfer pricing calculations and intercompany charges.


• Overseeing monthly invoicing and manage debtors to ensure timely cash collection.


• Using your excel capabilities to support our FP&A function, delivering clear and insightful data analysis.


• Supporting assistant accountant with co-ordination payables and payment processing activities.


• Supporting payroll manager with oversight of outsourced payroll function and associated balance sheet reconciliations.


• Making impactful changes to the Group finance function by looking for opportunities to streamline, automate and otherwise improve our BAU processes.

What do you need to apply?

• CA or CPA qualification


• 4+ years experience in audit or financial accounting.


• Highly proficient in excel


• Exposure to NetSuite or other cloud-based accounting system a plus, but not essential.

Whilst maintaining good work-life harmony is important to us, we will require a certain amount of flexibility to work outside of office hours when necessary, to accommodate the demands of a global business spanning multiple time zones.
