Senior Financial Accountant

Our client is a large, globally backed organisation operating across Australia and New Zealand, currently entering a new phase of strategic growth. They are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their Finance team in a key role supporting joint ventures and project operations.

The Role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will be responsible for the integrity of the general ledger and month-end close, with a strong focus on JV and project accounting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing month-end close, journals, intercompany and variance analysis
• Preparing monthly group reporting packs
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting with operational stakeholders
• Preparing statutory reports in line with AASB/IFRS and assisting with audit requirements
• Maintaining internal controls and driving process improvements
• Overseeing junior finance team members

About You

• CA/CPA qualified or working towards
• 5-7+ years' experience in corporate or project accounting
• Strong knowledge of AASB/IFRS, GST/BAS and FBT
• ERP experience (SAP preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills; Power BI advantageous
• Detail-oriented with strong stakeholder engagement skills
