Senior Financial Accountant

Our client is an industry-leading, privately owned international manufacturing business with a long-standing heritage and established operations across Australia and overseas.

As the 2IC to the Financial Controller, this is far from a standard corporate accounting role. In this position, you will take end-to-end financial ownership of the Australian entity while managing complex international intercompany transactions and consolidations between local and overseas arms.

This is a broad, evolving, and hands-on role ideal for a technical professional looking to step up, drive process improvements, and influence beyond your day-to-day tasks.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage end-to-end statutory reporting, compliance, and internal controls for the Australian entity.
• Oversee international intercompany reconciliations and consolidations between local and overseas arms.
• Directly manage, mentor, and develop a team of two Finance Officers.
• Lead the year-end audit process and manage tax and AASB/IFRS compliance.
• Play a key role in an upcoming global ERP implementation and drive continuous process improvements.
• Work closely with the Financial Controller and provide financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

• CA or CPA qualified.
• Strong foundation in statutory reporting, compliance, AASB/IFRS, and advanced Excel skills.
• A natural mentor comfortable managing a small team and clearly translating complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
