Senior Financial Accountant

What You'll Do:

Reporting to an excellent Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of key financial accounting processes across a complex multi-entity environment while leading and mentoring a small team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing a team of two
• Leading and reviewing the work of the Financial Accounting team
• Managing BAS lodgements across multiple entities
• Overseeing income tax accruals and tax-effect accounting
• Managing AASB 16 lease accounting
• Preparing accruals, prepayments and fixed asset accounting entries
• Assisting with the preparation of statutory financial statements
• Managing Payment Times Reporting obligations
• Liaising with external auditors and supporting the annual audit process
• Driving process improvements and strengthening financial controls
• Building strong relationships across finance and the broader business

You'll Bring:

This is a broad and technically challenging role that will suit you if you enjoy balancing hands-on financial accounting responsibilities with leadership and stakeholder engagement.

• CA or CPA qualification
• Demonstrated experience owning month-end processes
• Experience managing BAS, FBT and taxation compliance requirements
• Previous staff management experience
• Strong ERP experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
