About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Risk Analyst to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Financial Risk Assessments to prepare detailed Financial Viability Assessments (FVAs) for various clients. You will analyse financial data, assess risk, and provide clear executive summaries of financial strengths and weaknesses. You will also engage with clients, building relationships, explaining your findings, and offering insights on risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• 6 month temporary contract with opportunity for permanency.
• Analyse and process financial information, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Prepare executive commentaries on financial strengths and weaknesses for FVA clients.
• Contribute to improving the quality of financial reports and FVAs.
• Assist clients by explaining complex financial data and offering solutions to mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with team members to review and critique FVAs.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial data in reports and systems.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong background in analysing company financials (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement).
• Extensive knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and financial ratios.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in drafting concise executive summaries.
• The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• A detail-oriented mindset and a focus on delivering high-quality work.

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• CA/CPA/ACCA certification.
• Experience in client-facing roles and explaining financial outcomes.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Access).
