Job Title: Senior Front-End Developer [Experience Designer]

Real Simple Property is seeking a Senior Front-End Developer [Experience Designer] to join our growing team and take a leading role in building our online identity. The successful applicant will drive the introduction of the new design for our product in advance of our launch (and crazy launch party!) in early 2013.

Background

 The successful applicant will have:

• At least 3 years’ experience in front-end web development;


• A team spirit;


• A passion for what they do;


• Proficiency with PHP, HTML5 ,CSS3, AJAX and JavaScript frameworks;


• At least a basic understanding of W3C standards for responsive cross-browser development; and


• A passion for technology and willingness to work in a start-up environment (i.e. a love of coffee!)

While not essential, a qualification in human-computer interaction or interaction design would be held in high-regard.

The successful applicant must also be available to jump in and get started in the near future.

Expectations

We expect all our team to work with and manage stakeholder expectations (including investor relations and relationships with commissioned marketing and management consultancies). While the primary role involves the redesign of our product our team takes on tasks as required. For instance, this job description has been written by one of our directors and then added to and improved by the rest of the team. Ultimately, as our resident tech genius, you'll be expected to contribute wherever you see potential for improvement in our ability to deliver!
