Senior Health Information Manager, Service Line, Coding and Analytics

Permanent full time opportunity to support the Assistant Director, Coding and Analytics in the management and organisation of Health Information Services, Clinical Coding Service. The position is responsible for ensuring clinical classifications are maintained to a high standard and provided within required deadlines.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Assist the Assistant Director, Coding and Analysis (ADCA) with promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the coding team
  • Assist the Senior Health Information Managers/ Officers – Service Lines, to develop, implement and maintain education sessions and provision of advice for clinicians to ensure an understanding of how clinical documentation impacts:
  • The course of an individual's healthcare within the clinical record.
  • Clinical coding and casemix.
  • Clinical information access; and
  • Evidence-based decision making.
