HR Partners is excited to be partnering with a strong Australian name in the agriculture and transport company based in Austral. This is a newly created Senior HR Manager role reporting to the CFO to support the company's growth and to build and embed best practices in the full gamut of HR and people management especially policies, processes, and ER and IR. This will be a 5 days onsite role but ad hoc flexibility can be afforded when required.
Primary responsibilities will be both operational and strategic but not limited to:
- Multisite travel both in NSW and Australia wide when necessary.
- Build and implement HR solutions and internal policy and process improvements
- Lead, support and coach HR team with 3 direct reports
- Lead performance management, reviews, compensation planning, bonus, succession planning etc.
- Workplace relations and compliance processes.Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements, National Employee Standards and Fair Work Act 2009. Workplace matters especially ER and IR grievance handling and case management, Awards and EBA interpretations/advisory and union dealings
- Talent/recruitment and workforce planning: Partner with senior leaders for recruitment needs, employee engagement and retention programs/initiatives
- Oversee and manager full HR functions from recruitment, onboarding, performance to exit.
- Manage learning and development programs
- Strategic People Plans: develop the annual people plan for the teams you partner with
- Organisational Effectiveness: organisational structure, workforce planning and change management initiatives
- Leadership Development and capability: Coach and support leadership on all employee life cycle matters i.e., ER, IR, OHS, risk mitigation, Performance Management and Improvements, etc.
- Lead performance management, reviews, compensation planning, bonus
- Workplace relations matters especially ER and IR grievance handling and case management, Awards and EBA interpretations/advisory and union dealings
To be successful in this position, you will be:
- A true HR generalist (ideally minimum of 5-6 years experience)
- Strong HR knowledge, skills and experience especially ER and IR - knowledge of industrial awards and EAs.
- Ideally you have come from a similar industry/sector (blue collar and unionised) i.e., FMCG, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Logistics, etc.
- You are someone hands on, not afraid to roll up your sleeves and are a great communicator at all levels
- You have a driver’s license for travel to other sites in NSW
