Your Role
As the Senior Human Resources Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the human resources function for all programs in Australia. This position involves specialised guidance in developing and implementing human resource strategy, policies and management initiatives. You will collaborate closely with Functional Area Managers (FAMs) and project management to ensure organisational goals are achieved. Additionally, you will lead and manage a team of HR professionals, overseeing employee performance management, compensation processes and leadership succession planning.
Additionally you will work to promote, diversity, outreach and compensation equity, while ensuring compliance with HR policies, procedures and environmental health and safety requirements.
This position requires you to be based onsite at Alice Springs, Northern Territory. A comprehensive relocation package and annual location allowance will be included for the successful candidate.
About You
You will hold an Undergraduate Degree or have equivalent demonstrated experience, coupled with a minimum of 8 years in diverse human resource roles, including at least 3 years of human resource management experience. Your expertise and knowledge of human resource process improvement models and a track record in developing human resource strategic plans for organisations. Experience in building and sustaining high-performing integrated teams, particularly in 24x7 operational environments, is essential.
You will be well-versed in human resource management policies and have a proven ability to support multi-functional teams. Building and nurturing working relationships at all levels of the business should come naturally to you, along with strong communication skills to engage with varied stakeholders effectively. Preferred qualifications will include holding certification such as CPHR / FCPHR or PHR / SHRM-CP.
Experience in handling Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) negotiations is crucial. Our ideal candidate should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of labor laws, possess strong communication and negotiation skills, and have a proven track record of successfully navigating complex negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Additionally, they should be able to collaborate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external parties, ensuring that EBAs align with organisational objectives while also promoting positive employee relations and fair working conditions.
Security Clearance Requirements
It is a condition of employment that employees are Australian citizens. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a TSPV clearance.
