Senior IAM Engineer

Seeking an expert Senior IAM Engineer in Ping and ForgeRockYour new companyA large Australian banking organisation running highly regulated, always-on digital banking platforms. Identity and access management is treated as a core engineering discipline, underpinning authentication, authorisation, and security across critical retail and business banking systems used at scale.
Your new roleAs a Senior IAM Engineer, you'll work hands-on across multiple initiatives, designing and delivering IAM capabilities that sit directly in the critical path of customer authentication and access. You'll collaborate closely with principal-level engineers and product leadership, contributing to technical decision-making as well as implementation.The focus is on deep delivery: building, integrating, and evolving ForgeRock and Ping-based solutions within structured delivery and release trains, where quality, security, and resilience are paramount. This is not a support or maintenance role - it's about solving hard identity problems in a live, enterprise-scale banking environment.
What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience operating at the top end of the senior range as an IAM focused engineer
• Strong, hands-on expertise with ForgeRock and/or Ping Identity in complex enterprise environments
• Demonstrated experience implementing Ping Authorize or equivalent fine-grained, policy-based authorisation
• Deep understanding of authentication flows, access models, secure API integrations, and identity lifecycle management
• Experience delivering within structured delivery or release train models
• Consulting or professional services background (e.g. large transformation programmes) is highly regarded
• Exposure to agentic AI initiatives, intelligent decisioning, or advanced automation in identity contexts is a plus
• Comfortable working alongside principal engineers and contributing at a senior technical level
