Job Description
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a technical leader helping shape the strategic design, implementation, security, and lifecycle management of Tapt Media's core computing platforms, hybrid cloud services, and enterprise storage. Note on Ownership: Nine Radio is proud to have recently joined Tapt Media. While this recruitment process is being managed by Nine under a transition of services agreement, the successful candidate will be employed directly by Tapt Media.
Day to day you will:
Own the architecture, optimisation, and daily administration of our multi-site VMware ecosystem, ensuring high availability for all corporate and broadcast workloads.
Design and manage Tapt Media's hybrid cloud landscape, integrating public cloud resources (AWS and GCP) with modern on-premise solutions like HPE Greenlake.
Manage and optimize enterprise Microsoft SQL Server environments, supporting high performance, backup validation, and strict data governance.
Architect, monitor, and scale enterprise SAN storage environments, and lead the business continuity strategy using modern backup solutions (Cohesity and Veeam).
Support next-generation applications utilising Docker containerisation across multi-OS environments and manage Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS) architectures.
Ensure strict adherence to Microsoft licensing compliance and corporate security standards while collaborating with procurement and vendor management teams.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
7+ Years of Experience with a proven track record as a Senior Systems, Infrastructure, or DevOps Engineer within an enterprise environment (Media, Broadcast, Telecommunications, or Finance preferred).
Expert VMware knowledge with in-depth, advanced expertise in VMware vSphere infrastructure, vCenter management, and enterprise-grade cluster operations.
Strong proficiency in the implementation, performance tuning, and management of Microsoft SQL Server environments.
Hybrid cloud competency with hands-on experience architecting and maintaining production environments in AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Solid understanding of SAN protocols (Fibre Channel, iSCSI) coupled with extensive experience running enterprise-level data protection platforms like Cohesity or Veeam.
Understanding of the compute requirements required to run time-critical networks, with particular exposure to high-availability environments like Audio over IP (AoIP) systems.
Desirable: Hands-on experience with HPE Greenlake management, familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) in multi-OS (Linux and Windows) environments, and expert-level understanding of complex Microsoft licensing agreements
