Role highlights

The Senior Insights Analyst is an exciting role within our RFI Global Council Insights team, focused on serving our financial services clients in Australia and New Zealand. In this role, you will further develop your experience in analysing primary voice-of-customer data, secondary macro data, and business and client priorities.

This is a fast-paced role that will help you develop deep expertise in financial services insights, with a focus on creating actionable outputs to support client decision-making. At RFI, we are client-centric and continually evolve our insights, research, and products to stay ahead of the market and meet client needs. You will support client presentations and act as the insights subject matter expert.

The role is critical in unlocking emerging trends, themes and producing impactful deliverables. Importantly, you will see the impact of your work on some of the largest financial services brands in Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Support regular client presentations and research brief sessions.
• Influence the design of research briefs and the analytical approach.
• Use insights and data to tell compelling stories and drive action for clients, ensuring research deliverables address their needs and priorities.
• Conduct quantitative market research analysis with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and efficiency.
• Create client-ready research and insight-led PowerPoint presentations.
• Use research and data tools, including AI.
• Analyse secondary data, including economic and financial sources, to triangulate and contextualise RFI’s primary research.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with team members across sales, client services, operations, and research in our London, Singapore, Sydney, and Melbourne offices.

• At least 2 years’ experience in a market research agency, consultancy, or similar environment.
• A degree in any discipline.
• Client-focused, with confidence presenting deliverables to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Experience conducting analysis using Microsoft Excel or statistical analysis software such as Q, SPSS, or similar is highly valued.
• Excellent written communication skills
• Banking or financial services experience is highly valued, but not essential.
• A curious mindset, demonstrated through insightful questioning and proactive thinking.
• The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, foster a positive team environment, and drive collective results.
• An interest in developing and delivering client presentations. Previous experience presenting to clients is advantageous, but not essential, as training and development will be provided.
