Job Description - Senior Insurance Account Handler

Senior Insurance Account handler

Barker Munro Recruitment, the insurance recruitment specialist, have been approached to find an ambitious and professional Senior Insurance Account handler to work for a well-established broking business who are going through a period of change and expansion within their Corporate commercial team.

As a Senior Insurance Account handler, you will provide a pro-active high level technical and broking support to clients and offer best advice regarding their insurances at all times. Typically you will deal with premium range of anywhere between £500 up to £50,000, although the majority of clients would be in the higher premium spend bracket. As the Senior insurance Account Handler, you will have been dealing with all lines of General Corporate Business SME up to Global Corporate risks across commercial non-marine classes including, for example, Property, EL/PL, E&O, and PI. Additionally, as just as important, you will act as a referral point to the remaining team members for technical issues/queries as well as handling the more complex renewals/larger paying clients.

The role will suit candidates that are seeking the opportunity to progress their Insurance career and who enjoy building strong client relationships. It’s a busy but extremely collaborative and supportive team who work together for the benefit of the wider team.

Applicants should have a good commercial insurance technical knowledge and have excellent interpersonal skills whilst having a good eye for detail and being able to work under strict deadlines and pressures.

The business offer a balanced working pattern split between the office and home coupled with an extensive list of benefits to match your lifestyle.

Minimum 2 days in the office per week usually Tuesdays and Thursdays. During Probation there would be a need for a min of 3 days a week in the office.
