Job Description

In this permanent full-time role, based in Richmond, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Epworth’s Integration Strategy. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external consulting partners to assess current systems, define a future-state architecture, and build a scalable and resilient integration ecosystem. You will be part of the Data and Integration team and report to the Director of Data and Integration.

You will make an impact by:

  • Supporting the rollout of an enterprise-wide Integration Strategy.
  • Assessing existing integration platforms, interfaces, and architectural patterns.
  • Collaborating with consulting partners to evaluate current maturity and identify capability gaps.
  • Recommending integration tools, technologies, and architecture aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Designing and building API-based interfaces and reusable integration components.
  • Developing integration standards, guidelines, and governance practices.
  • Ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture, data governance, and security requirements.
  • Coordinating integration activities across clinical and business systems.
  • Participating in market engagement processes (RFI/RFP) for integration platform upgrades or replacements.

You are a forward-thinking integration professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and driving digital transformation. You work well in cross-functional teams and are comfortable managing both technical detail and broader strategic objectives. With strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, you build trusted relationships with stakeholders across all levels. You thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment and are committed to improving system interoperability and patient outcomes.

You will have:

  • 10+ years’ experience in enterprise system integration in complex environments.
  • Strong knowledge of integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, messaging, event-driven).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud integration platforms, especially Azure Integration Services.
  • Experience in designing and Implementing API based services
  • Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, RESTful APIs, SOAP, and secure messaging protocols.
  • Experience with data integration (ETL) technologies.
  • Strong vendor management and experience working with third-party consulting partners.
  • Ability to lead workshops, define current and future state architectures, and document technical solutions.
  • Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and integration security.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • Experience with hospital systems, healthcare IT, or clinical integration.
  • Knowledge of enterprise integration maturity models and frameworks.
  • Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud integration environments.
