The Opportunity:

Are you an experience Senior Marketing & Membership Manager, on the lookout for a meaningful role where you can make a real impact? Join an engaged and passionate team in a highly regarded peak body that advocates on behalf of almost 230 member organisations across its relevant industry.

The role has a dual purpose:

  1. Marketing: effectively bolster the organisation's brand presence, reputation and value proposition through marketing and communication that promotes member benefits, programs, events and courses to ensure budget targets are reached and the member value proposition is strong
  1. Membership: engage current and prospective members to retain and grow the organisation's membership base through the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and marketing campaigns

Key Responsibilities:

Membership Engagement

  • Oversight of membership processes and activities, including supporting the implementation of the Membership Attraction and Retention Strategy
  • Develop strategic communications and membership growth and engagement programs, ensuring all initiatives foster a sense of belonging and active participation amongst members and are aligned with strategic objectives
  • Ensure best practice onboarding and member engagement initiatives are implemented to introduce new and retain existing members
  • Oversee the use and continuous improvement of the membership database and all administrative elements of membership processes
  • Through interaction with members, assist in the identification of projects that align with strategic objectives. Act as liaison point between Members and the CEO on viability and alignment of these projects

Marketing & Communications

  • Develop and implement the marketing strategic plan, including targeted marketing campaigns, collateral and outreach initiatives tailored to diverse audiences within the industry sector, effectively communicating the value proposition of the organisation's membership and ensuring commercial targets of the business are met
  • Utilise a multi-channel approach, including digital marketing, promotion of industry events, networking, and partnerships, to maximise visibility and engagement with potential new members across Australasia
  • Manage and promote the brand, ensuring all marketing and communications enhance brand awareness and reputation
  • Proactively engage with events team to ensure the professional delivery of marketing campaigns and collateral that support events and programs
  • Manage social media strategy, ensuring posts on social media accounts increase engagement online by offering helpful, timely, and accurate content
  • Lead the creation of social media content to promote upcoming events and programs, aiming for increased engagement and participation
  • Collaborate with members to explore cross-promotional opportunities across newsletters and other communication channels
  • Oversee the website, ensuring that all content stays relevant and up to date. Leverage data insights to enhance engagement and user experience, ensuring content remains relevant and accurate.
  • Oversee EDM program Mailchimp, including ensuring professional copywriting for events and programs and coverage of advocacy agenda
  • Ensure the timely delivery of regular external communications, including weekly, fortnightly and programs newsletters, as well as LinkedIn newsletter

Leadership

  • Manage direct reports, including allocation of all work, regular meetings, engagement, feedback and performance and career development
  • Act as a role model in always demonstrating respect and adherence to Code of Conduct, values and other policies
