Senior Manager, Operational Risk - Start Immediately

We are looking for an experienced risk professional to join a large financial services business going through transformation.

This is a leadership role, you will be working in a hands-on environment and be involved in the upliftment of the operational risk maturity. You will assist in designing, embedding and enhancement of the operational risk framework, providing risk advisory support, oversight and challenge to Line 1 and business risk owners.

Reporting to the Head of Operational Risk, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining the operational risk management framework
• Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) on risk related matters, providing advice to internal stakeholders in the identification, assessment, and management of key risk across the business units
• Serving as a SME for the implementation of CPS230 Operational Risk Management
• Supporting the identification and communication of the company’s risk appetite and tolerance levels
• Coordinating the review and maintenance of business continuity plans
• Preparing and delivering operational risk education and awareness to uplift risk maturity
• Developing and maintaining key relationships throughout the business as necessary, ensuring open and effective risk communications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Circa 8+ years operational risk experience including Line 2 risk advisory, oversight and challenge, framework development and implementation, policies and procedures
• Financial services background or consultancy experience with financials services clients
• Pragmatic and hands-on approach, self-starter and driven
• Prior experience managing a team would be ideal
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
