Senior Manager Project Engineering

The Role

Our Wetherill Park site in Sydney is our Milk-Based Beverages (MMB) hub for the eastern seaboard. The site manufactures fresh and extended shelf-life products, including our short pack format MBB and Ultra Heat-Treated (UHT) long-life unrefrigerated milk. This state-of-the-art facility has benefited from past and ongoing large-scale investment and produces 75 million litres of some of Australia's most loved dairy products, including Dare Iced Coffee, Dairy Farmers, Farmers Union, and Big M. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide direct support to the Milk-based Beverage Operations team in Wetherill Park, reporting to the General Manager of Capital Engineering. You will coordinate projects and initiatives and work closely with the team to ensure smooth operations. You will also liaise with other departments and stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery and identify areas for improvement. This role is critical to the success of the Milk-based Beverage Operations team and offers an opportunity to make a significant impact.


Responsibilities

• Support engineering and site teams in developing capital investment planning with a 3-5-year plan
  
  
• Manage a portfolio of contracts, including negotiating service-level agreements and coordinating activities with contractors.
  
  
• Plan, Coordinate, and lead project teams to deliver capital projects, ensuring excellence in execution (scope, budget, time)
  
  
• Provide regular reports and forecasts of capital projects in progress, including status updates for Engineering and PMO
  
  
• Evaluate proposed complex products and services to determine their feasibility and relevance. Assess them against current and future site capabilities. Make any necessary changes to the proposals
  
  

About you

• A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a background in FMCG
  
  
• Demonstrated drive for continuous improvement and a strong background in project management
  
  
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  
  
• The ability to build relationships and influence others across the broader business
  
  
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, allowing you to meet project deadlines
