Your New Role
The Senior Manager Risk and Compliance – Advisory andAssurance – Investments, is a primary point of responsibility andaccountability for activities in the day-to-day line 2 risk and complianceoversight and challenge across the full business activities within theInvestments team. The primary responsibility is to be a line 2 subject matterexpert on the liquid elements of the Aware Super Investment portfolio acrossequities, fixed income, cash and understanding the investment challenges foreach of these asset classes. You will have coverage across the unlisted assetclasses of the portfolio including private equity, infrastructure and propertydeals including both co-investments and directly managed deals.
In this role you will also play a keyrole in managing Aware Super’s regulatory obligations arising from itsinvestment portfolio both locally and internationally. In addition, you will beresponsible for: line 2 assurance oversight of controls, obligationsand incidents, line 2 controls testing and validation, advisory, guidance andescalation response for line 1 Investments teams and line 2 challenge acrossbreach and incident management.
How do you exceed our expectations?
You will have demonstrated extensiveexperience preferably in a Line 1 or Line 2 risk and compliance role withinfunds management or superannuation investments teams. You will have a detailedunderstanding of buy side financial markets and the regulatory issues and industrystandards, including a deep understanding of financial instruments includinglisted equities, fixed income and listed/OTC derivatives.
