Job Description - Senior Manager, Student Academic Misconduct Investigations

Role type:  Full-time; Continuing 

Department/School: Student and Scholarly Services; Chancellery Education Portfolio 

Salary: UoM 10 - $156,480 p.a. plus 17% super

As a Senior Manager, Student Academic Misconduct Investigations, you will lead a dedicated team to uphold academic integrity within the University. You will oversee complex investigations, provide expert guidance, and contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving student academic integrity. This role offers the chance to influence policy, engage with diverse stakeholders, and make a significant impact on the University's commitment to fairness and transparency. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead the Investigative Team: Oversee staff performance and ensure investigations are conducted fairly and defensibly. 

  • Conduct Complex Investigations: Plan and execute sensitive investigations, draft allegations, and prepare evidence for proceedings. 

  • Provide Expert Guidance: Offer advice on misconduct investigations and interpret policy and integrity frameworks. 

  • Manage and Improve Practices: Continuously enhance internal investigation processes and contribute to leadership in academic integrity.

You will be an experienced leader with a strong background in investigations, capable of motivating teams and driving results in a complex environment, while ensuring fairness and transparency in academic misconduct cases. 

You may also: 

  • Have proven leadership experience in a high-pressure environment. 

  • Possess detailed knowledge of procedural fairness and policy interpretation. 

  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking and analytical skills. 

  • Exhibit superior communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Possess a high degree of cultural competence and sensitivity.
