Business, Institutional & Markets Operations (BIMO) sits within the Chief Operations Office and is the engine room supporting Business Banking and Institutional Banking & Markets. BIMO delivers critical operational and enablement services-including product fulfilment, payments and risk management-across a complex, high-value client portfolio. With a workforce of ~1,000 employees, BIMO plays a key role in driving operational performance, customer outcomes and resilience at scale.

Do work that matters Reporting to the Executive Manager, Business Performance, you will lead the development and scaling of workforce planning capability across the Business & Institutional business.
This is an exciting opportunity to build and shape a high-impact function, leveraging an existing foundation to establish a leading workforce planning capability that supports better decision making, operational performance and long-term resilience.
You will combine people analytics, capacity planning and scenario modelling to partner with operational leaders across the business, enabling proactive management of workforce supply and demand across multiple horizons and ensuring the organisation is set up with the right capability for the future.
More specifically you will - Build and lead the workforce planning function, including establishing frameworks, tools and governance and leading a team of 3
- Partner with operational leaders to support capacity and resource planning across short, medium and long-term horizons, including management of leave, demand variability, optimisation initiatives and workforce resilience
- Deliver people analytics and insights to inform strategic and operational decision making, translating data into clear, actionable outcomes
- Lead scenario planning and modelling to support responses to volume changes, transformation initiatives and evolving business needs
- Drive a stronger, more consistent fact base for workforce decisions, uplifting capability across existing areas while expanding into new parts of the business
- Provide thought leadership on strategic workforce planning, ensuring the business has the right capability mix to meet future requirements
We want to hear from you if you have - Experience in workforce planning, people analytics or operational strategy within a complex environment
- Proven ability to build and scale capability, including establishing new functions or uplifting existing ones
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate insights from data
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, particularly with senior operational leaders
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
