Senior Marketing Advisor

Our client is seeking to engage a Senior Marketing Advisor

Location: NSW, VIC

Employment: 12 months

Eligibility/Security Requirement: Must be able to obtain Baseline.

Role Overview

In this role, you will work collaboratively with the marketing team and other program areas across the Agency to deliver on strategic priorities and awareness targets. You will also be responsible for developing and leading marketing strategies and contributing to monthly reporting.

You will contribute your skills to:

Developing and implementing integrated marketing strategies for Agency’s program areas, including:

• leading promotion and marketing strategy development to drive awareness and uptake of programs.
• defining, measuring, and evaluating objectives
• increasing the public’s understanding of Agency’s role in the different sector
• work collaboratively with the Marketing Manager to deliver on strategic priorities.
• Assist with regular reporting duties required for monthly reports.
• Ensure Agency’s brand identities, marketing material and comms are consistent with overall brand guidelines and tone of voice.
• Assist with the review of eDMs, web content, flyers, posters, and other marketing collateral.
• Work collaboratively with team members and the wider Strategic Communications branch to coordinate, advise on, and deliver marketing projects on time and to budget.
• General marketing and communications assistance as required.

Role Functions

Specialist / Technical:

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative marketing strategies which effectively target the relevant audience.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and support direct reports, encouraging positive work outcomes.
• Proven ability to apply professional knowledge and provide specialist advice which support and actively builds on the strategic direction of government.
• High-level written communication skills, including editing and developing print and digital materials including marketing collateral, creative briefs, web copy and social media copy.
• Ability to confidently present messages in a clear, concise, and articulate manner, tailoring communication style and message to the audience while following Agency’s style conventions.
• Demonstrated ability to engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders, respond positively to stakeholder needs and expectations, identify opportunities, achieve outcomes, and facilitate cooperation.
• Experience analysing and interpreting data sets for reports and to evaluate and optimise marketing campaigns.
• Ability to brief and guide creative processes and outcomes relating to marketing.
• Working knowledge of digital marketing and analytic tools including Google Analytics and Campaign Monitor or similar.

Role Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Clearance:

Mandatory

• Valid police check prior to commencement.
• Australian citizenship.
• Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role with marketing, events, and communications responsibilities.
• Relevant qualifications and experience in communications and marketing roles.
